As part of our close attention to quality, Stanford Logistics offer a 'quarantine' service for clients. In the event of receiving goods by which we believe our clients' quality standards may have been compromised we:
- Notify the client for instruction to:
- - refuse the delivery
- - retain for inspection
- - arrange for disposal
- Label non-conforming goods
- Place goods in a special quarantine area to prevent cross-contamination

Distribution

Central Scotland is well served by major trunk roads. We ship daily by our own vehicles and by FedEx, UPS, TNT, and Lynx, as well as full trunks. We also have convenient access to air, sea and rail transportation. With these connections, we can receive your products directly from the supplier, perform any necessary inspection, warehouse, process, and distribute directly to your customer. Our inventory control methods are stringent and we have the facilities to hold any project until you are ready for it to be shipped! |

We have close links with a number of specialist haulage firms nation-wide, and we also have our own dedicated transport facilities for local and pan-European transport requirements. We can also provide facilities for multi-drop and fixed-time distribution throughout the UK and Europe. We can arrange trans-shipment and customs clearance for all goods, and can also arrange shipping via internationally recognised carriers.For small parts despatch we have special arrangements with both local and international couriers. |

Technology
At Stanford Logistics Ltd we excel in the use of technology to help us meet out customers needs. We have a specially developed logistics management system, which uses the very latest database software and techniques to ensure pinpoint accuracy and complete reliability.
Our systems and data are duplicated off site so that computer failure will never be a problem for our clients, and since we wok hand-in-hand with our suppliers to develop our system, any special requirements can be catered for. We can even arrange for complete integration with exiting client systems.

Since 2002 Stanford Logistics Ltd have been using on-line inventory management. A web based interface will enable customers to log on to our database via SSL security to check stock quantities and to request deliveries of stock.
This interface is a first in the logistics industry and will be available to all customers after signing the appropriate usage agreement. From a web browser anywhere in the world customers will be able to check on individual stock quantites and print out up to the minute stock listings. Customers can lodge requests with us for deliveries of goods on prearranged days, or for later the same day.
